About Us

Our Unique Background

Founded in 1946, Beijing 101 Middle School is the only middle school which was established in a revolutionary base area before being relocated to Beijing. In 1955 the school was renamed according to the suggestion of Guo Moruo; its new name, 101, symbolizes expectations beyond perfection, helping us earn a reputation as one of the most prestigious schools in Beijing. Over the course of seven decades, Premier Zhou Enlai and Premier Wen Jiabao visited the school, and General Secretary Jiang Zemin and Chairman Li Peng wrote inscriptions for the school.
